In 1727, Jaipur rose from the desert sands as a beacon of cultural and architectural brilliance. At its core, the City Palace began to take shape. It served not only as a royal residence but also as the administrative heart of the kingdom. Within its walls, generations of Maharaja held court- strategized battles- celebrated life with the utmost grandeur.

However, later additions incorporated the expertise of Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, a British architect.
Thus resulting in the fine blend of Rajput and European influences on the City Palace.
